I cannot remember all the gear because i got too many which is why i always run out of room and a few weeks ago got rid of 2 NRD-545 receivers and they are huge and the they also had the converter from 2Mhz to 2.0Ghz and i also got rid of 1 of my Icom-R8500 and i will be keeping the other one for now. Gday Tony I had a bit off time and set one of my Radio rooms can you please help with loading the photo on the website and as you can see i can operate all my radio equipment through my computers and something as simple as loading a photo which i find it hard to do and we all have our little faults and this is the equipment i got in my movie room. I have heard a few intresting things when i got into scanning on the Airbands with a analog radio that my dad bought me from england back in 1975 i heard an Egypt Air 737 in Malta that was hijacked by the PLO and it ended up being raided by Egyptian commandos and there was the first 747 that landed in Malta in 1979 which was a KLM that was also hijacked but i cannot reember what happened.The worst thing that happened to me when I was a little boy was when we went to England for a holiday and as we where leaving Heathrow i went to take a photo of the Concord and i was also holding my radio endi

Gday Tony I have never got intrested in listenning to the Police but I do take an intrest in listenning to ambulance ,buses,cfa,marine,trams and i do have more readios and antennas and in fact i am thinking of getting the AOR-ALPHA and by the way my reception on the vhf bands is long distance i could hear aircraft in the northern teeritory on a full signal strength on the flight watch frequencies with my custom made airband antennas which the civil aviation authorities in australia and world wide use from Polar & Rfi and they are very well known these australian companies. Gday Tony I have noticed in the past few months at Melbourne airport that seems to be a lot of police presence and australian protective services patrolling around the perimiter of the airport and where plane spotters usually go and a lot of people that i have spoken to say its a good idea and they always look at me with the amount of gear that i take with me and they always have a friendly chat and below is a list off all the gear that i took with me on sunday afternoon. Hell there is alsoa few places in Australia where you can buy Discones of the Internet and these are the ones I use and I will put them in order for best results ICOM-AH7000 is an Excellent Discone for around 250 bucks & you also get 50 feet of good quality low loss cable from Japan COMET-DS3000 is a good Discone but to receive good Signals you have to mount it very high because its half the size of the ICOM and thats the only way you can get good signals DIAMOND-D150 is a similar Discone to the COMET and it also has to be Mounted High. Tony its easy to put up the Antennas then putting them down and when you got a lot off Antennas it takes a lot off time to put the straps around the cable and they have to be mounted right straight away or else everything has to come down again and in my case because I got too many I have to be carefull where I mount them and sometimes its the only thing I hate about the hobby and mind you it also takes me hours to take my 2 shacks apart because off all the cables and I use 3 computers to run all the software and all the cables for the multicouplers and extension speakers and I mark all my ada
