- Debates are encouraged on the forums but we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. A staff members` decision is final in any case.
- Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email, shoutbox and Private message system to spam other members.
- Advertising of your own personal scanning website (or any other) is against forum rules. If you want to give members information which you think is important, post the information here with credit from where you got that information.
- Posts that are sexual, racially motivated in nature or violate other general rules are not allowed. The Scanner Australia and NSW Police (net) team are responsible for deciding whether something is breaking those rules.
- Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed. Copyright violations such as posting another persons intellectual property is against forums rules.
- Each member is allowed one login account. If a ghost account is found and no reasonable excuse is given, all accounts for that IP will be removed
- We will not tolerate blatant adverts or the sort of 'OMG look at this website'. It would also be appreciated if members refrain from bad mouthing other peoples websites, forums, products or services. The same applies for advertising products, services and websites - a Zero Tolerance policy is in place which means that we will not tolerate any advertising without prior approval.
- While we try to give a reason for a post or thread deletion we do reserve the right to delete threads in extreme cases without warning.
- This is a forum based on Australia and its states - the board language is English so we would appreciate if English is the only posted language.
- Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
- We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates these forum rules, as access to our forums is privilege and not a right.
- Please do not use disposable email addresses as we reserve the right to delete any accounts that are found to be using these.
